Day 01

Drive from Colombo to Kandy making a stop at Pinnawala’s Elephant Orphanage along the way. Visit the Royal Botanical Gardens after your cultural tour and don’t forget to stop by the Holy Temple of the Tooth. Enjoy the calm atmosphere of the evening as you bid Kandy farewell.

Day 02

From Kandy to Nanu Oya the train ride offers stunning views of Sri Lanka’s highlands. Make sure to stop by a nearby tea farm and manufacturing plant when you’re in Nuwara Eliya to see the craft of tea making in action. Enjoy a leisurely evening boat ride on Gregory Lake while admiring the breathtaking mountain views. Spend the night in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 03

Experience the stunning surroundings while travelling by train from Nanu Oya to Ella where you may be met with expansive views of verdant valleys and rolling hills. Spend some time in this charming village that provides a peaceful retreat in the middle of the wilderness and enjoy the calm atmosphere.

Day 04

For stunning views of Ella, go to Little Adam’s Peak first thing in the morning. Observe the famous Nine Arch Bridge, a stunning architectural wonder situated in the midst of the forest. Spend another evening taking in the peace and beauty of the surroundings after you get back to Ella.

Day 05

Stop at the breathtaking Ravana Waterfall on your way from Ella to Yala. Visit Yala National Park and enjoy an exhilarating Jeep Safari ride. To complete the day, stay overnight in Yala.

Day 06

On day 6 of the tour make your way over to Mirissa by car.

Day 07

Start your day off right by going on an exhilarating whale-watching excursion in Mirissa. See the stunning dolphins and blue whales before taking a train to Bentota. Sail along the Madu River in a leisurely boat at Bentota Turtle Hatchery. After spending the night in Bentota, allow yourself to relax and enjoy the seaside city this evening.

 

Day 08

See the locals and their surroundings when you travel to Colombo by train. Enjoy Colombo’s bustling streets, well-known buildings and alluring sights once you’re there. Take in the lively atmosphere of the city and enjoy your last night in Colombo.

Day 09

Depart for the airport with unforgettable memories of your Sri Lankan adventure.
